I have to say I was sad to see that my spare soft top off my old miata wouldn't fit in the 350 hatch area, but then I got over it went and borrowed a "bigger" vehicle, and took care of business. then got back in the 350, and put my foot on the loud pedal, and suddenly I forgot all about my problems.

If the bar wasn't necessary I wouldn't have an issue with it not being there, but given that it is functional, and all that silly stuff, I decided to keep the hacksaw in the tool chest. So should you IMO.

I've transported much larger things than that in smaller cars...its all about ingenuity (or just old fashioned thinking)....not cutting your car to pieces.

350z vs. Ikea Table

It all depends on your priorities...

I know where my allegiance lies.

I love that part of my Z man.... Although I can't fit my snowboard in there and I can barely fit my fishing poles in between the seats.
If u want 2 enjoy driving a pure sport car, that's what u have 2 sacrifice.
I don't think anyone would pick up a table in their ferrari or porche?

Why not remove the rear bumper too? Just put a tail-gate on there so you can get more utility. Re-mold the hatch too, so that it is taller like a hot euro-hatch. Then you can fit 3 dinner table chairs. I feel a photoshop coming on... here it is LOLOLOL

This thread is getting put in the running for "gheyest thread ever"

based on my calculations from the below diagram... you can fit alot of crap back there as is.

Buy a fuking minivan if you need to haul POS ikea furniture around. or take the spare out.

Damn, I want to rip all that trash out from the seats back and make it how it should be from the factory, with a removable bar/links. and roll cage of course.

There will be a stereo jammed in there(glass) of course too.
