Default Help: Need to install new skin from LeatherSeats.com...

My seat covers from LeatherSeats.com just arrived (and the quality is impressive). I'm now looking for an upholstery in Miami to install them. So far i've been quoted $150/seat from one place and $200/seat from another. Has anyone done this install themselves? I didn't order the tools that LeatherSeats.com offers to self install, because i couldn't imagine it would cost upwards of $300 to get these put on the car. Any help would be appreciated, whether you know a good shop with better prices in Miami, or you've done this yourself and want to give me some insight. Thanks in advance.

There is a tutorial on 350ZTech that is quite good.I just got my covers from Leatherseats.com yesterday, and may get a chance to start this weekend.I did the seats in my '02 Celica GTS ,and this 350Z install appears to be easier than that, especially since it has no rear seat to do.You should be able to get a pair of hogring pliers and hogrings at one of the larger chain auto parts stores or from The Eastwood Company if you choose to order on line.$300 is not out of line for shop rates,as you should allow about 4 hours minimum to do both seats. The job is really quite enjoyable, and tedious but not difficult.Once you do it you will want to do more, especially when the compliments start rolling in.I got my 350Z covers done in black with red sections on the bolsters next to where your shoulders rest only,a red shift boot, and red armrests(my car color is Redline),in the Premium Plus configuration(extra leather on the sides rather than vinyl).Good luck, and no fear,Bro! You can do it.
