Default so...my wipers stopped working in the rain...

Hey everyone, I know i don't post hardly anything on here, but I do check this site every day. I just thought i would share my story. First off i just wanna say that I love my Z! I live in VA, and this past Thursday we had a lot of rain. It was ridiculous. I was out in it, went with some friends up to tgi fridays. Everything was working fine wipers and all. Left there and went to get some gas, still good. It stopped raining after I got gas, so we left to go to a bar type of place. About a min from getting there it starts raining again, and my wipers would not turn on! So I get there and park, turn the car off and back on, and still no luck. I was so mad, lol. I told my girl that we would just stay til it stopped raining. Well it never stopped raining. It slacked off a lot, so me being the smart one that I am decided to leave and follow a friend to my house. We figured I could just follow his tail lights. Not the best idea on our part. We had to pull over like 3 times when the rain picked up. I did get myself and the car home safe in the end. I know I shouldn't have drove it, but I didn't want to leave it parked. Anyways, I have read up a lot on the Z before I bought it, and had never heard of this happening. I have a 07 that I bought in February and it has 14,000 miles on it. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before? i dropped the car off yesterday and they told me it was something to do with the board that controled the wipers, I can't remember exactly what they said. They had to order the part and told me I can get my car back on Monday. I guess its just one of those crazy things that can happen. They gave me an 08 Titan for a loaner, only bad thing is that its more of a work truck version. Just thought I would share.

I guess it only makes sense that your wipers would stop working in the rain. After all, if it was bright and sunny, you wouldn't have had them on in the first place.

You've got a pretty good dealer there - to loan you another vehicle. Most won't do that anymore.

My dealer does....classic nissan in Ohio! You just keep tabs on the gas that you use and fill it back to the same level before returning.
