Underhood painting?

Underhood painting?
I've seen a few posts here where people have painted part of the engine cover, battery cover, etc. (see pics below of another Brick like this...)
When I checked with some of the better local paint shops, they all said they would not recommend painting the engine cover because the heat would cause the paint to burn/crack relatively soon.
My questions are for those who have done this already...
1. Did you have your components sprayed with normal body paint, high temp paint, or powder coated?
2. If High-Temp paint or powder coated, where did you get the Brickyard colored matched in those finishes?
3. If you used normal body paint, how long has it been since you painted the engine cover and have you experienced any paint degradation?
I think this looks great and would like to do it on my Z, but don't want to have to have it re-sprayed every other month because the engine heat keeps baking the paint off.
