Don't trust it a bit...i'm an engineer and work with these types of coatings...they don't hold up to UV and I'd be surprised if it doesn't begin to haze as particles are absorbed
I'll believe it when I see it. I mean, I dont doubt that this type of paint can be made, but like posted earlier, I cant see it having the same luster or color as the years pass. I guess we'll see.
I doubt it will fix chips (the paint is missing in that case), from the way that article reads, it's going to fix swirls or fine scratches. You can't replace something that's missing like a large rock chip. If it was elastic enough to fill a chip, it would flow off the car.
I wonder if the paint will have less orange peel because of this technology. If the resin wants to flow evenly over the surface, it may reduce the amount of orange peel.
shouldn't affect the orange peel...remember paint is two phase process...base color then clear coat...they'll still have orange peel...let me tell you though...off topic, getting your Z repainted and wett sanded...holy crap...what a difference in appearance...the lines really look smoother...so when you get your body kit...shoot for a repaint and spend the money
