i got an acident about 2 month ago and i still havent got my car back.

the body shop guy is telling me they couldnt mix the paint them selves

and they called dealer and manfacture and all that but they coulndnt get the exacly same color paint.

but yesterday i went to body shop to check out my car.

they final found place they can order the paint

some where from minesota or something... and price of paint was more than a dobble since it was custome paint or something.

i am not even sure i am ganna get some lip kit or any body mods....

it was so hard just to get paint .

is there anybody had difficulty to get painted with interlagos fire metallic ?

i mean dealer discountinued paint for that color..

this .. sucks...

 

man that definitely sux....word of advice, never buy those rare/strange color again!

 

did they know the paint code or was it just an availability problem? The paint code is L40. I think Dupont or House of Kolors could match it.

 

Somehow, I don't think he's going to find a House of Kolors in Tokyo

 

Over in the states, i would say that guy is giving you the run around, but in Tokoyo.... anything is possible. Most paint shops over here take a sample of the paint and mix it themselves. Not sure of the procedure on your side of the puddle.

 

I have interlagos fire. The color code is L40. I had some door dings removed and just had Veilside from lip painted and installed color match was perfect. I don't think I paid to much extra for the paint. It was 185 to paint the front lip at a reputable shop. I paid 350 to fix the door dings but that was mostly labor as they had to blend into the quarter panel due to location and take off a few other pieces to be safe while painting.
