Would i fry my harness?
Just wondering if i bought some PIAA reverse lights that are rated at 27w, would they damage the wiring harness? I know the stock bulbs are 21w, and i know you dont have your reverse lights on long but i also worry about the heat. I swapped chrome blinkers in the front and even though im pretty sure theyre the same wattage, i think they discolored the little plastic cover over the blinker. I think only the 07's have the peice im talking about, the piaa's are cheap and would probably be bright, right now mine suck.

That should be ok. But, if I was you, I would probably just switch out to LED's and call it a day. Cheaper, brighter, less heat, longer life.
What's the bulb size for those reverse lights?

leds dont give out the same light lumens as in area you can actual see, they are just brighter when you look directly at the light. also a simple search will yield bulb sizes and prolly the op's original question.

I know he said reverse lights but if my license plate LED bulbs are brighter than stock, wouldn't that hold true to the reverse lights as well given the proper bulb size?
Maybe whoever tried the LED bulbs before did not get good ones?
Accordaleer, the stock reverse lights aren't bright enough ? Those suckers are bright!

I see what your saying but maybe smaller lights lose to led applications... all i know is i have led reverse lights now from vleds and they suck lol. Basicly useless but look HID. I have led license plates coming in the mail from a vendor on ebay that makes them i think, ill see if theyre bright, whered you get yours? The reverse lights are bright to look at but they really dont put out as much light as odd as it seems. Amazing color when i go in reverse, too bad i just cant see them lol.

I picked up mine from superbrightleds.com
It has 5 led's in a star pattern in a wedge shaped 168 bulb size. If you ask me, they give out more light than stock. In fact, enough to light up the ground behind my car.
Aren't the stock reverse lights bright enough? My stockers give out a lot of white light that I can easily use to navigate around in the dark while backing up. Maybe it has changed in the newer year Z's?

Nah the stock ones are plenty bright, i just wanted something nice and white for people to see lol, i honestly thought they would be brighter than incandescants. Trust me i even had some cheap bluish bulbs and the leds make even those look **** brown compared to the pure white of leds... it sucks, i mean you would think 24 surfaced mounted leds would be bright enough heh...
