Default Full Carbon Fiber Bumpers

I am sick of stone chips, fiberglass cracks, and auto-x cone scuffs on my front bumpers (on my 3rd one now - nismo V2). So I am thinking of going with a full cf front since there wont be as much contrast on one when it takes a hit and I wont have to worry about the paint (car is superblack. stone chips on fiberglass front = white... not good).

The only ones I've seen out there are the Carbon Creations models, and I think Vis made a nismo v1 replica in carbon? Any other suggestions? And any vendors here carry these pieces? Help is appreciated.

This is my last resort before I buy a new Shine Auto Nismo V2 and keep my current thrashed V2 to swap on for long drives/track.

the amount u're paying for a full CF front bumper will be really expensive compared to say, if you bought another FRP front bumper and use that one only for track. you can just spray paint it like flat black and if u get a scuff you can just spray some more flat black on.

i think damaging your full CF front end will hurt 10 times more when you can just buy a replica for like 200 bucks.

Clear bra is great, and I am definitely going to do it on this bumper, having neglected to these past 3 times. But I'm still not going to run anything painted that isnt Urethane or Hybrid FRP (like the shine stuff that has flex to it... not this crap fiberglass they pass off as FRP), because of the inevitable flex cracks. Thats been my main problem with the V2 thats on it - got pretty banged up due to bottoming out and thus flexing the bumper. My car is on coilovers, and I'm going to give it a little more ground clearance this time also. And yeah, I will be keeping the beater bumper for track/autox and spirited drives.

As far as price on the full fronts, I think I remember the carbon creations ones selling for around $700? I could be wrong, but I dont think they're so expensive as to rule them out, especially since I'll have to have a non-cf bumper painted.

if u're looking for more flexability, then the CF ones arent the ones u're looking for. i myself have owned the VIS full cf Nismo v1 front bumper and it dosent flex at all. i posted awhile back that something flew up and hit my front bumper on the freeway and it put a huge spiderweb stress crack also. u're better off looking for a good hybrid FRP bumper to beat around with flex.

unless cracking a $700 front bumper doesnt hurt your wallet then more power to ya.

I'd go for plastic, I have the GReddy fiberglass version and in the same situation as you are. I just purchased a Extreme Dimension/Carbon Creations G type bumper which is a GReddy bumper in CF. It's a piece of crap, it won't fit side markers and there's dips in parts where it should be flat. They will tell you a body shop has to install it. It's supposed to be unpack and install the bumper but there's no way. Poor quality and in order to get my exchange I had to send pictures of the part that was not satisfactory to the shop I bought it from then have to wait to hear what they say. Even though their site says if you're not 100% satisfied you can get a full refund, it's more like you get a run around w/ full of BS.
