Default S2k Antenna...Why do people get it ?

Finally got the s2k antenna, was really excited to put it on today, but once i screwed it on it didn't really look all that great. The fitment at the base is bad because the base of the s2k is fatter, and the materials totally don't match (rubber vs. reflective plastic). The quality is great, but it's obvious that it's not meant to be on a Z. Is there any other alternative that fits better ? For a part this small it has to be perfect.

Below are the pics i took of the s2k antenna and the stock one. I'd keep it stock if it weren't so damn long.

People usually change their antennae to the S2k because the stubby look is more agressive. The Honda Element antennae is supposed to fit the base and give a nice look to the car. The stock one is just too long IMO. I havw seen people cut the stock one down and it looks good.

Is there just a plug kit? I haven't listened to the radio in 6 months, the direct ipod link on my deck provides more than enough music.

is there such a kit?

sofa king... 3 posts in 30 min and not a single advice. This explains your post count.

I didn't create this thread to complain. I wanted to find a solution.

Get a Perrin Antenna. Lines up with the Z perfectly.

I remember someone putting the Element antenna on their Z which fit better and was even shorter.

I put the stubby antenna on mine from UltraRev. Fitment was great. Screwed right in, matched the base, and is nice and short. Unfortunatly, too short. I listen to the radio most of the time and this antenna cut my reception down to 1/4. So, if you are looking for a stubby.....let me know!

I decided to try this one out. There is a pic of a Z with it on, the fitment is fine.

Lindelium, if this antenna doesn't work for me, i will take yours off your hands. I could care less about the radio.
