Im trying something similar to what Mike has done...

Question tho, after giving substantial time for the clear to dry, about 5 days, I tried wetsanding with 2000grit... I basically took off the clear, down to a dull, no gloss finish. I tried using Maguires (auto wax) to buff it out, but no dice.

What exactly do you recommend (Z1) for a "hand polish" to turn the dull, into a nice gloss after the sand?

Thanks in Advance!

You need to use a pure polishing compound, use that, and then a glaze on top

Wax won't do it - all wax essentially does it form a barrier against the elements

thanks guys.. I still didn't wet sand it yet.. lazy..I'll get around to it maybe this weekend... I did paint the ring around the sub with the same stuff though.. I think it pulls everything together better

(I labeled stuff so my PM's don't fill up again)

search google for "lloyd's trunk mat" .. They make custom mats for all makes and model cars.. I chose just just a plain red and it seemed to go nice with the seats.. The carpet is much thicker and durable than the stock one..
