Wierd Noise Coming From Passenger Side Door
Hello All, I just bought a 2003 Nissan 350Z Touring Coupe about 3 and a half weeks ago. I noticed a very odd noise coming from the passenger side door about 1 week after I bought it, I cant really explain what the noise is but I know its not normal and seems to be coming from inside the door, it only does it when I'm in motion and I had a toyota tech ride with me when I took it back to the dealership and of course it wouldnt do it for him when he was with me. Anyone know anything it might be? The car only has 29,000 miles on it and was owned by an older couple who kept it emmaculant. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as this noise is really starting to drive me nuts, I have to turn up the radio to tune it out
the best i can really describe it is sort of a high pitched noise, almost sounding electrical, one guy i talked to offered this suggestion "theres a rod that mechanically couples the door lock with its solenoid. This rod has a plastic retainer/restrainer that is meant to keep this rod from vibrating too much. If that retainer comes off or is loose it allows that rod to rattle a little" to me it doesnt really sound like somethings rattling its more of a high pitched electric noise, hope this helps a little more and someone can please help me out!
To me, an electric noise is like standing under a power line hearing the zapping noise of the regulator.BIZZZZZZ!!!!!!BiZZZZZ!
I had a ratteling noise like someone walked sprung a big *** door spring when I hit a bump. Its turns out it was the bottom metal floor guard. There's four 14MM bolt holding the front part on to the floor frame. The rear of this thing is attached to the rear suspension and the front part is bolted a little past the middle section of the car. It helps from bottoming out your car on steep hills I guess or protects everything down below.
Electric noise??? You have to do a better job than that bro. Try to make the sound with words or do something.
