What style of hood? Can you take pictures of the pins underneath the hood?
My hood doesn't flap because I put some rubber/foam on the front of the hood so wind doesn't get under the hood from the front. That's usually what makes the CF hood flap, when people don't put the rubber lining on the CF hood.

yea I'll post pics tomorrow of top and bottom. I angled the pins with the curve of the hood if they are mounted straight they are bending (stressing) your hood or not sitting flush on the hood. To tell you the truth it is a really hard install. Cutting is easy , getting it perfect with the pin angle and the hood curve is very hard when mounting the pins in the factory radiator shroud holes.

There are other factors too besides the direct wind flow. At higher speeds there is a a low pressure that develops and puts stress on the latch. Thats what causes the failure at higher speeds, not always the flaping.
The pins are for safety to keep the hood from popping incase of latch failure. This is an AWSOME pin. Used on planes, trains and race cars.

So, did you get a chance to take pictures of your pins with the hood up?

It's realy not that bad. The only thing diffrent than a regular hood pin is using the template to cut for the housing and drilling the holes.
I agree with RX7/350Z, if the pins are place in the right spot, there is no need to bend the pin. As overzealous1 stated, you just cut the spacers at a slight angle to tilt the pin back to make it perpindicular to the housing. Looks like its going to be only 2 to 4 deg forward.
Looking at the under side of the hood, that was BUTCHERED! there is no need to cut that much out. To get the nuts on you dont need to cut all the jagged stuff. You just need an offset wrench to get under the hood spacing.

willing to make another set of those brackets?

I'd be interested in a set of brackets as well....
I'm installing this Aerocatch latch right now and ran into that same issue of having to bent the pin of have to use a bracket to tilt the pin to fit. After looking at the location. If I place the latch slanted toward the head lights then it might works. But I placed them straight up
Now I'm stuck.
Now I'm stuck.
