You can pick up your years supply of Rice a Roni in the back. I'll be driving away with the grand prize

Yeah he saw the musical "my fair lady" on his first trip the the US, just they didnt think "fairlady" would appeal to americans and thus the ###Z came in to play.
Anyways, I got a fairlady Z emblem, I like it and theres nothing wrong with it, the car is the exact same(minus the fender blinkers and RHD) and made in the same exact place as the "real" fairlady.
Plus I think "350z" is uninspiring, fairlady is a much better name and any Z I ever get will be rebadged to fairlady

Mr. K goes to Engineering one afternoon and asks.... What are we going to call these cars we are sending to the US. We need the answer by tomorrow morning ....

^^ LOL, just incase someone believe that:
Datsun came from DAT motor co. the "DAT" came from the first letter in each of the founders last name.
Dat-son was a name of one of their cars, the first being the Dat-car, but Nissan Engineering bought them out and changed to Datsun for better Japanese meaning.
Nissan held on to the Datsun name to prevent dishonoring the Nissan name(you know the japanese are crazy like that) if it failed in there attempts at the US market.
After there success with, to prevent company name issues and to give a larger appearance and excitement for the companies stock, they change it to Nissan.

FYI - I removed the original and left it blank. I think it has better "balance" but to each their own.

I recently purchased my Fairlady Z badge, and it looks fabulous.
bought it from this seller and its a very nice quality, just need a stencil to align it better.

I know some folks love the JDM "Fairlady Z" moniker, and to each their own, but I think Mr. K made the right call on this one. Naming a car after a chick flick... ouch.
I always thought it was kind of like building a sports car and calling it a "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants Z" or a "Fried Green Tomatoes Z." I know my wife really loved "Bridget Jones' Diary." So many choices
