Unhappy Perfect...

I just went outside to wash the car today (first time in about ten days). My girl and I went out to dinner the other nite at a local place and I saw some "kids" younger then me but older then 18 up and around my Z. It didn't look like anything was done and I beeped the alarm from about 50 feet to back them off a bit.

Anyway, it looks like the right hood pin (the "O" ring part) was ripped off of my carbon hood. I don't see how it could of fallen off as there is little to no impact on this part of the car, save wind resistance I suppose.

These pins were holding down by Seibon TS hood (from Jim @ Carbon Limited). My other pin is fine so, I shouldn't run any risk of a fly up but obviously I want to fix this for apperance sake.

Any thoughts? Thanks...

Signed,

in never ends in Toronto...

Yeah i had that happen... where i work, skaters try to hang out alot. One day they had bought an ice tea and jumped on it around my car and started laughing and pointing... I found out later it was cause they got like half the bottle all over my trunk and quarter panels . Needless to say, next time I saw them skating, the one that was jumping on the tea bottle let his board keep rolling into the path my car just so happened to have been steered at... and needless to say his board left a long scratch on my passanger side skirt after I accidently ran over it making sure to hit it right in the middle

Default Brutal...

at least I'm not the only one. Just PM'd Jim. Hopefully I can get another set soon. I am putting it away for the winter in a bit (even though today is brutally hot/humid). Don't want to put it away damaged.

Just do as I do... next time you see them kids, drive up to em... make sure they are standin near some loose gravel/stones as say hey, i saw you all "appreciating" my car last time I was by, wanted to say thanks... than you go sideways making sure your tires are kicking all the stones up in their faces like the little rat craps they are.
