If you can deal with the extra height I'd get the Recaro brackets, they are expensive and so are the seats but I never have regretted buying them. Planted bases DO NOT work for the sportster save your money.

You can get the JDM Recaro brackets from Nengun or Bulletproof Automotive, I got them from Bulletproof.

Looking to get a Z if there's a way to widen the seatback bolsters a bit. All my previous Z's had racing seats with a 1" wider back to accommodate the width of my rib cage. Recaro's are nice but won't fit the budget. This Z [33 or 34] would be for street use only, with long trips a priority. Stock seat is fine, with plenty of adjustment - but no adjustment for seatback width. tia,

Asking another way: has anyone had success trying to install the G37S seat with adjustable backrest bolsters into a 350Z?
Thanks, Z91Doc
