Very interested. Keep us posted

This allready has stock hinge corners, they are carbon fiber. To put the weight into perspective, the stock aluminum hood weighs 24lb's , so it is a 15lb drop.
Dry carbon will stand up to the sun, but when we talk about things like a yellowing hood, this is the coating that resides over the carbon layer. If you want to protect a surface like this, you put an automotive clearcoat over it. But we are still testing this out, and hope to have made improvements along the way. It was made to cool a T.T. car, well after the vents and ducting go in anyway.

Question, with their being no protection, how does the wear and tear of daily driving and environmental factors play into the oxidation of the carbon?

Just a slight curvature caused from the mold, which flattened out after the motor warmed up.

Yeah I under stand the thermal properties with the carbon vs resin. Just didnt know how the reacts directly with the elements (hazing, any discoloration). Yeah the yellowing is the one thing I do not like about the carbon hoods.

Just announced the pricing, but you can reserve one now. We still have to figure out venting but most likely it will look largely like the Nismo RS Concept hood on page #2.

Skorch - It has not been tested on an HR motor as of yet.

Devil Z - The vents have not yet been figured out. We are going to do temperature testing to see which part of the hood gets the hottest to see where vents would serve the most function and go from there. Most likely, it will come out looking like the Nismo RS concept hood.

Vents are cut! Hood was tested at California Speedway this past weekend at 170+mph without any buffering or problems at all. Temps were rock solid and we don't have a single complaint!

Pic courtesy of Speedraver. More to come (hopefully)...
