Default Can the Z be 'too vented'?

So this all started when I ran over a tire and crushed in the corner of my front bumper, I started looking for new full fronts. I really like the MSA front bumper. So I think I got a little carried away with the vents in my body kit planning......

Front bumper:
MSA Type7

Sides:
Greddy

Fenders:
Sarona

Rear bumper:
Strosek

Is this too many vents? Am I getting carried away? Do I need to see a psychiatrist?

The front and the sides would look great...I say no to the fenders and the rear.

I like that feedback. The front and sides are definites. I think it got out of hand with the fenders and rear.

I love the fenders and rear for what they are as individual pieces, but maybe just too over-the-top in conjunction with everything else.

IMO vents without a function are just plain bad design.

I'll take your 2 cents. I think the vents in the MSA front are semi functional in allowing more airflow into the front. Maybe I'm wrong. The Greddy sides have no function that I know of, but feel they will compliment the MSA front nicely.

And I think I decided to ditch the Sarona fenders and Strosek rear (since I just did the free rear bumper mod) and might go with the Cwest rear pieces.

i agree, the front and sides go well together imo. adding the fenders and rear to that would be a little too much.

I do like the fenders on thier own though, i've only seen up close photos of them though, not ones of the whole car with them on, I think they might make them look like the rx8

What would they be cooling? Your tires? None of the vents on any of those parts are functional for cooling.

Now, if you somehow fabbed up a brake duct to those front vents, they might be.

I personally think too many useless vents tends to cross over into "rice" territory. But hey, it's your car.

i like all of those choices seperately...but together, its too much. none of the vents really match up well. The lines of that front with the lines of the sides work well together however. The sides don't work well with the rear, so i'd say no to the strosek rear. The sarona fenders would be cool if you weren't already doing two other vented pieces. if you had a black car, you might be able to pull off that many vents without them standing out like a sore thumb, but you've got silverstone not black

Well, having never seen the front in person, I wasn't sure if the ducts on the front opened up to the engine bay at all or if they were too far off to the side. Now that I look at it analytically though, they appear to be way too far off to the side........

Wow, I definitely like the MSA/Greddy combo. Thanks for posting that. It's a done deal, no fenders or rear for me.

No prob The rear mudguards actually finish it off enough for me IMHO.

Yeah i can see what you mean. The actual difference between the 2 is less than an inch, but that angle and light definitely makes it look a bit off . It rounds out on the bottom corners which brings it down enough to match pretty well. I didnt want a front that hung toooo low because of my driveway and that Im lowered 1 inch as is. The sides Also dont hang as low as some other kits out there. So the less than inch of difference in my mind doesnt matter compared to scrapage, and the fact that the overall design of the 2 pieces flow well in all other respects.
