Question eyelids (headlights)

i've heard from some people that having eyelids can hurt the lamp itself--stress fractures, fading, etc. so, after having vinyl ones on my car for about 2 months, i'm getting tired of mine. should i take them off or what?

I have not heard of that yet. The best way to know is to try it.

i think the issue was more with the vinyls that cover the whole lense, not just part of it like an eyelid would. however, it has also been said that the lenses themselves experience fracturing by themselves, and is supposed to be a total separate issue from the usage of vinyls. it seems to me that their has been a lot more people who experience this and attribute it to the vinyls than people who have it happen by itself. I am personally scared to use the vinyls b/c my lenses have been fine so far and I dont want to risk breaking them just to put some vinyls on.

Why would you want them? Do they enhance the vehicle's performance in any way?
