There is 2 options for this kit you can have the Z logo cut out or With Z logo to go inside of the cut.

This kit is real aluminum not synethetic It has no clear coat or resin on top of it

This is thin aluminum !!

It matches the interior of the Z perfect


This kit has the New 3M acrylic foam tape on the back it will not harm your dash when you go to take it off....

IPT also has a lifetime on all pieces in the kit !!!

Just doesn't do it for me. But each to his own opinion.

 

Were this an aluminum piece that would replace that whole part of the dash it would have looked great. That's what I want for my car. Those pics show how much nicer the interior would look with an aluminum dash. But yea, that kit has a bit to many hole around the stereo and should go all the way down to the shifter.

 

looks a bit ghetto to me.
the whole thing doesnt flow all that good.

 

It makes the interior of the car look generic, It doesn't flow with the lines of the center console. Plus that type of aluminum dents very easy.

 

Man, not one positive response? I thinks it looks awesome. I have an aluminum dash kit on mine, but I like this one much better. Wish I would've waited.

 

dear god....there's so many gaps and spaces...even when you discount the stereo piece.

 

Out of curiosity, what do you laminate the aluminum in? Or is it just bare brushed aluminum? I know it smudges if its bare.

Id have to say the kit looks pretty neat. Just not diggin the Z logo.

 

IMO it looks very nice... very clean. Only problem I see is it looks too much like it was added. I'd want that look where it looks stock.. example: Button to nav door, under it, there is no aluminum. example 2: where it stops near the 3 guages, and where it begins near shift ****.. don't really "flow"

 

sorry, but that giant "Z" in the middle is kinda tacky. definitely not for me, but i hope you enjoy it.

 

I think it looks good..

But I think it would look better with a few changes:

- The space above the buttons on the radio (1-6), I think should be also filled in with aluminum. That will tie things together much better.

- The space below the button on the little hatch should also be filled in.

Other than that, I think the one with the Z logo cut out, looks great! Nice job.

 

Thanks for sharing this ... I'm sure it's great for some and the finish does look much better than others kits I've seen. However, the pieces aren't what I'm interested in. As complete as it is in "pieces", it doesn't have the overall flow I'm trying to attain.

I'm going to definitely hold out for my stuff from Perfect Image Creations. I've seen the schematics and it's going to do more of what I'm want to enhance, without overburdening.

I really am glad to see someone else working with real aluminum though! I still can't believe the "excuses" I've heard from dash kit manufacturers as to why they've all gone to synthetic aluminum: "pieces of a real aluminum would be like missiles if they detached in an accident." Duh, and all those layers of polyurethane with some stuff under it wouldn't do the same?? I wanted to retort with "oh, so that overglossed, plastic looking stuff adheres better?" but instead I honestly said "thanks but no thanks".

 

for the record, the large hold between the radio buttons and display is for the cassete deck which is only on touring models. thats not a pointless opening, well it is on all other models, but there is a reason for it.

things that arent needed are the holes to show that its a compact disc, power, ect, we own the car, we know what it all does, they could be covered up.

 

Too 'Bling Bling' for my taste. And parts of it does look sloppy, the center Z looks unlined. The stereo part shouldn't have all those cuts/holes in it. Yeah they show the labels, but would have been better if the lables were etched or stuck on the aluminum. Last, too much gaps, be better if it looked more one piece and went from top of the gauges to the shift boot ring. Not bad at all, just could use some improvements.

Sorry, put me in the "It's ugly" column as well. A dash kit should replace pieces of the dash, not just be thin sticky metal (or carbon fiber) that sticks onto the dash....yes I know that would be expensive, but it would look good.

The Z on the nav door looks bad....and it shouldnt have an upper and lower half.

 

man when are we gonna get some actual aluminum replacement pieces, not some stuck on crap!! That might actually look badass.
