Default my V1 veilside lip came in and...

hey guys, i bought a polyurethane lip. it came in and its in my room right now. and on the far sides of it, it looks like sandpaper was put to it. where it bends, the color is faded to a grey and kinda rough..

and it seems like its sanded where it touches the car on every part. i was trying to look for my sisters camera to show u.

but if anyone owns one they can tell me. u think it was there just to help/smoothen out the molding?

its pretty typical for polyurethane to look like that in my experience. You will need to paint it anyway, unless you were going to just put it on like that

Probably sanded down some minor imperfections from the mold release after it was separated.

I had a similar experience. I had to put in quite a bit of work to prep it. I didn't care for the creases that followed the bumper cover so I filled them. (The area circled in red). I sprayed it myself.
