"Full replacements" - Screams "Look at me!" Wants to be the odd one out. Wants to personalize the exterior to show how they feel about their car. Whether it's full race or full rice, at least they got the ***** to do it and you don't!
"Wide Body"- The Show queens. Typically painted in an non Nissan OEM paint code. These are the guys that have 10 subs in the car and three of which are in the cupholder. You might think they look nasty, but the amount of labor put in would lay waste to your Forced Inducted funds. Respect.
as far as the original question of if it's worth it? for me. hell yea. i <3 my body kits...i can transform it to three different styles and any combination within those pieces.

I think it could be worth it, but, you have to save to do it right the first time. Buy a high quality kit, and have it painted and installed at the best shop in town.

I have a fiberglass lip kit (WALD) and it is strong and actually more durable than OEM. I will say I put a "slight" crack in it stretching it over the bumper during fitment, but the crack has not gotten any bigger over the 2 yrs I have driven it. I have bottomed out the front lip NUMEROUS times. The entre bottom of it is almost bare of paint where it has been scraped, bottomed out, you name it. NOT one crack from that, not one stress mark, while the oem bumber was bumped into by a hip of a person and the paint has a stress mark in it
Those guys talking smack out fiberglass bought **** kits. I would choose quality fiberglass over urethane any day of the week. Urethane is not oem material. Urethane is thick, heavy rubbery material that sags over time.

I love mine. I think any type of after market body mod is nice. Separates you from the rest of the stock looking Z's. Some kits are rare and some are popular. But the chances of another in your area is slim, giving it that unique look. Everyone else has seem to sum up the quality of different types of material used.
Like my kit, it's fiberglass, but wasn't offered in any other type of material. But I had my eyes on it before I even bought the car. But hasn't had major problems at all. Just takes rock chips easily. But I'm about to fix that.

Yes, I like mine and I'm waiting on another one.
I would rather have fiberglass but that's just me. My OEM front bumper had rock chips, its part of driving. Some jack A$$ backed in to mine a few weeks ago and scratched it. It needs to be touched up but it not that bad. It has been my experience that urethane kits will spider web the paint when they are hit. It also seems the paint bonds better to the fiberglass.
You don’t want to hit a curb or a parking block. All in all if you have half a brain and are careful there not bad.

I just finished installing a Stillen Series 2 front and Stillen rear spoiler (both urethane). Fitment on the front end was spot on, and it looks beautiful, even in super black. The rear spoiler presented a few fitment problems, specifically getting the goddamn thing to lay down evenly. But, it ended up aok.
If you decide to do ANY body kit, make sure you trust your bodyshop. IMO, urethane, properly prepped, blocked and painted, is superior. No cracks.
I really like the change in my car's appearance. So for just me, bodykit is ++

I had a body kit on my evo and I will never buy one again (at least not fiberglass).
For the most part I think body kits are too flagrant and excessive. I have grown to like simple, sleek, and elegant, which I think the Z already is. A simple thing like a carbon fiber lip does wonders and IMHO looks better than most any front bumper out there anyway...

OEM body with a LOW drop is great. Ive done body kits and am now stock body. The choice is the owners to make, I can only highly advise to go with a high quality kit - no replicas and no fiberglass unless it is a dead on fit and you live in a stable climate. Maybe Im growing up (will be only 26 soon though), but I prefer a cleaner look. Although that is not to say there arent kits that are clean, it is just that most are not unfortunately
And many people just buy the cheapest kit and then find the cheapest shop to paint/install and it ends up looking like shiit...

I'm not sure how many Zs are there in Maryland, but in So.Cal(especially in LA) I think bodykit is a must IMO. You don't wanna be just another Z in a sea of stockers.
Hell, to me a Z with just aftermarket wheels and drop look normal now..
