Default ASM making a bumper for our car.

Here's a link

ASM is known for quality products but I wonder what the price on this thing is going to be over here. It's not cheap as you can see. I like the white bumper not the one thats on the blue one.

If anyone doesn't know who ASM is there a tuning company that makes tons of parts for the S2000. The company was founded through autobacs in Japan and was made kind of a separate entity but carries the autobacs name....blah, blah blah.

Here's a blog with a modified 2007 cf hood link
It's also on the same link as the first one.

If anyone has more info post up.

Edit: just noticed a front lip diffuser

not to burst your bubble but it's going to be more. Just think of ASM as another Amuse.

here's prices in yen for the hood on the red one.

■ASM I.S.Designエアロボンネット07(Z33) CFRP 315,000円/FRP 126,000円(FRP製は発売日未定)

around $3000 for the cf and $1100 for the frp.

I'll have someone translate it for me to make sure and i don't know the exchange rate as of right now so it will be off a couple hundred dollars. If someone has to know go to http://www.xe.com

it's over $1000.00 - so is the bumper

But well worth it...ASM's stuff fits perfectly, and the hood is double layer carbon (top and bottom). Hood also comes in FRP

That hood actually looks like it's made of prepreg carbon, and not via wet-lay.

I might be wrong however, as I can't read a link of Japanese

yep, it is autoclave'd. 6.55 kg for the carbon version - they intentionally used this production method because of a few reasons

1. wanted something structurally sound
2. wanted a part that had true OEM fit and finish - the lines are 100% perfect, and all factory rubber trim transfers right over. In Japan, the 380RS is regarded as a higher end car, and ASM feels that customer is not going to settle for something just thrown together. So, they specifically used that car as the target, since the parts will easily fit earlier cars as well

Kind of a stupid question.... Z1, you guys can order once ASM sells the bumper right?

you can just tell how much work they put into that hood by the way they skeleton-ed the underside of it like the oem one except with cf.
