Default Hood wouldnt close

i just installed the kinetix v+ plenum, 5/16 spacer and the hood wouldnt close. i added some spacers so now it closes but the hood is touching the plenum and is not in alignment. has anyone had this problem and found a solution? i have an 03 350z and was wondering if i buy the newer hood type if that would fit. thank you for the help!

Uh... maybe, but why are you using the V+ plenum in conjunction with the 5/16" spacer? There's your problem right there. There is such a thing as too much volume on an (assuming) NA engine. Those parts are designed to function independently, not together. My hood rubs a little with the V+ plenum alone... How does your strut bar even fit?

Last I researched, the spacer is actually shown to have a bit better gains than the V+ plenum. I have the plenum, though and like it just fine. The diffenrence between the two likely cannot be felt, so keep whichever you choose.

Got a BAD case of the Mod Bug, huh? LOL. Just sell the V+ and put the money toward something else.
