Default Adding Gauge Pod

Can anyone tell me how to remove the stock pillar on the drivers side to add a pillar gauge pod. I dont want to break the clips on it. Where should I run the wires to and the best place to run the boost gauge through the firewall

just grab the top and pull...it come right off
