Exclamation 350Z Rear ended, how much is it to fix?

Please offer me some suggestion of how and how much it is to fix the damages to a 350Z during a rear end accident (straight on rear). Thanks in advance for any opinion! (I have post pictures on another thread, please click the link below to get there) THANK YOU!

bumper is 270ish, plus 2-300 to paint it. each corner light is 170. and corner panel is probably around 400 including paint, but might be more or less. that part Im not so sure on, but the bumper and corner lights im 99% sure, I had to replace them as well.

hope you didnt hit the hatch, or bend the aluminum structure in there. theres a peice of styrofoam that should take small impacts not sure if yours would have been too much for it. frame should be ok.... but dont quote me on that, bring it to the shop, rear end ussually means other guys payin anyway.

Question

This wrecked 350Z Track is a car I'm consider getting, but does $24,000 sounds fair? I'm not sure if there is any frame damages since it's an out of state car and I didn't see it in person. Any suggestions?

great price depending on mileage. but Id say it needs to be brought to a mechanic and checked out fully. if its totally asthetic damage, then its cool.

of course I see there is no muffler, so I assume that was pressed in, and youd have to consider how far that damage went to, might need new headers even. or atleast a new exhaust.

anyway, it needs to see a mechanic.

Find a reputable body shop that would do the work. If you're located in AZ, or want the car shipped down to AZ, there is a really great body shop called Classic Gold Auto. When my Z was rearended they took care of the car and made it better than brand new. Most people talk about how the car would not be the same after an accident, well, these guys will prove you wrong. I had an accident in a my Type-R, a severe one at that, but these guys not only made the car look brand new, but they fixed the alignment so perfectly that the car handled better than stock.

For the type of damage that's on that car, $24,000 is not a bad price. Figure about $3000 for repairs and you'll have the cheapest Track Z on the market.

Actually I just got an estimate from a body shop and it would cost $6,100 to make it perfect, assuming the frame has been damaged...... and the car is in Utah and I'm in NY and it'll cost me around $1,000 for transportation! Total will be like $31,000. Which is NOT worth it!

I forgot to add in shipping costs. So I guess it wouldn't be worth it.

Not necessarily. The frame was damaged pretty badly on my Type R, but the body shop was even able to repair that. I wish would've had some before and after pics, but believe me, I was in awe at the craftsmanship that these guys were able to repair that car.

The key is to find a really reputable body shop, but prepare to pay a pretty penny.
