Both my 87 & 91 are T's. As you know by now, my 87 is my daily driver & has over 370,000 miles on it. The T's have never leaked & I don't really experience that much wind noise. both are actually quieter than the 350. I would have loved either T's or targa on the 350. I've also never been much of a rag top fan. Don't like the look on the Z's with the top up. Although, I use to have a Jensen Healy roadster that was a blast (when I could keep it running). It looked pretty good with the top up. Now if they come out with a removable hardtop or better yet, retractable like the SLK's & others I'd seriously consider that.

I've never liked how much in-common it has with its older brother, from the headlights to the interior. It very much fustrates me. I think Porsche needs to spend more time SEPARATING their product line. Look at the new Cayanne or whatever, I cannot stand the headlamps OR the bumper. The new Carerra Turbo is drop dead gorgeous. I've also liked the old 959 and the `80-ish 911's.
When it comes to Z's, I've always had a LOVE for the oldest -- 240Z. From then on, my interests tapered off until the mid `80s when the Z31 was introduced. It was around then I started getting interest again, but it was only until the Z32 was released that I was sprung again! I think NISSAN did an excellent job with the Z33, very nice follow-up to the Z32. I know a lot of hardcore enthusiasts dont feel the Z33 "fits the bill" but, only time will tell. I cant wait to see people start stripping and heavily modifying their Z33's. Its kind of depressing looking at most 350Z's in the magazines, all they have is tons of graphics, wheels, exhaust.. and thats about it. I cant blame most people though.. who wants to bastardize a brand new car! (me.. but.. thats another topic).

Why do you think the Z comes with a huge strut brace on the rear? To eliminate chassis twist from cutting a huge hole for the hatchback. NO holes in my roof, thats what the convertible is for and it gains more weight for the bracing the chassis needs. Tin roof all the way for me.

Targa Tops and Convertibles are for a open air feeling and looks more than all out performance. I honestly rather have a coupe but if i had no need for all out speed handling. I would love having a Targa which to me looks better than a targa. I just thought instead of a thousand words i would put a couple of pics......
