Default Tucked rear bumpers?

First off i performed a search on this subject and have found nothing! what is the deal with the tucked rear bumpers? are people just cutting out the center section? could some one post some pic's off this i am curious if it looks appealing or just looks like ****. thank's ........

found some pic's on my search. who has done this? if you did could you explain what tooling you used. i would think a sharp razor knife and straight edge to start. i think it looks great if you have a dual can exhaust setup, but the o.e.m style exhaust dose not look as good. is this a popular mod or do most people stay away from this sort of look. i kind of like it! Just looking for a little feed back on this one before i hack my rear bumper.

most of them didn't cut it. They bent and fold it up and screwed it up there.
