on a side note, i know you could get a type of prism paint in a rattle can that was pretty cheap and come close to the same effect. it just would only have about 2-3 flop colors instead of 7. grab a can of clear and that and go for it! if done carefully and properly, you can get really close to the same results.
nice..thanks for the quick little instructions..will do this sometime..i love experimenting with things..
btw..make some more custom stuff for the Z like you did with your killer exhaust haha

the thing that gets me is i do all the work on my car. paint, engine building, and all the fab. after hundreds or thousands of my own hours into it with cut hands, bruises, rolling on the floor and paint in my hair, i get abit testy when some j.o. on the other side of the country says it looks like junk to him, and for nothing more than the reason to look like a great keyboard warrior. really no one has done it to me, but i have seen it happen to MANY others.
this is a car forum and some loose site of that. appreciating the cars is why we are here.
all i can say is OLD SCHOOL rocks!! Scott your work , your parts, your knowledge keeps impressing me. You are a gift the to the 350z family of guys/gals. Keep up the good work, do you have any new innovations coming out of SVRTech??

I have to say this im the first one to admit im not a big fan of the old skool flames cause I have seen them on all types of cars over the years. With that being said I think that this paint job is great. I say that cause main reason is you don't seem them done like this all the time. Just remember we all have different cars in different colors cause we all dont have the same taste. I have had alot of people tell me they like what I did with the orange accents and never thought of adding orange to silver. Keep up the good work and the paint looks awesome I would also like to see some better pics of the car

i have done many searches and never seen one painted in this manner. i am hoping to be one of the first to try this. i will need to take video of it and walk around it to show the effect. the flames litterally disappear! not a "ghost flame" pearl job. in the pics here, the flames do not appear on the front end, but they are there at another angle. truelly needs to be seen in person. this is my 4th paint job, lol.
luckily i know alot of the big time hot rodders in the area and got offers to paint some outrageous street rods. once they see this i might trade professions for painting. it is alot of fun and your imagination is the limits!!!gary crisp was local here, and moved away, i would love to fill his shoes for the go-to guy for show paint jobs!

been itching to do a variable length runner intake though for awhile. right now it looks good on paper, just need time to do it. and yes, i will put it also against ANYTHING out there!!
will be from the heads up, not a bolt onto the lower stock intake. handmade fuel rails and all the jazz. might just be a one off for my car though. once it starts i'm sure i can't keep a secret and post something about it
