Default Advice for Z modds (New member)

Hi everyone, just purchased an 07 Enthusiast, Pikes White Pearl finish.

I would greatly appreciate advice from more experienced Z tuners and have already viewed some of the amazing modds done by existing members.

I am planning my Z to be primarily a show car with occasional non competitive track runs. The only major modds I will acquire are sway bars and strut tower bars. I have definitely not decided to go FI, and need some input on the best visuals.

I am going with a white/chrome theme and have these planned, your input on the best products in these categories would be beneficial:

Chrome tail lights
Grill insert
Spoiler
18" Rims

Thanks

The thing about a "show car" is that it all boils down to personal preference. There isn't really a "best" product when you talk about wheels or a spoiler. You're talking about "best looking", which is subjective (i.e. in the eye of the beholder). You'd be best served by looking through the various Gallery threads, wheel threads, body kit threads, etc. to find things that YOU like the looks of and start from there.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

+1 to all of this, and also, 'show car' and 'track car' are almost mutually exclusive if you're serious about showing. Tracking a car, even if it's non-competitively, is a quick way to put wear on a car that won't wash off. If you want to show the car with the intention of actually taking home a trophy you'll want to keep it off the track. Competition on the show circuit is STIFF.

Happy new year!

Ok, this is advice, coming from a custom autobody backround, ive worked on, detailed, primed, prepped ( for paint ) show cars.

Chrome tail lights <---------- looks cheap.
Grill insert <---- depends, 9 out of 10 look cheap also
Spoiler Nothing wrong with this choice, just choose a spoiler that flows with the body lines and or body kit you choose. ( please no FAST AND FURIOUS stye wings. lol )
18" Rims <- could go for 19's, but your budget may be tight.

as they said previous, if you are going for show, go for show, if you want to track it, track it, you could do both but you'd need new paint after you get rock chips all over your sides and bumpers. from my experience, but do what you like.
