Hi guys, I got a stress crack on my after market fiberglass hood made by Veilside v3. The crack is at the front above the latch about 4 inches horizontal.

Those with the fiber glass hood, is this normal ?

I paid a lot of $$$ to get the whole car repainted and this happens two months later

 

I'd say it's very much normal. My fiberglass bodykit has small stress cracks hear and there, along with my carbon fiber hood. There more like a spider web hairline cracks. My fromt clip was getting them bad. But I just had it repainted.

 

it happens...at least it aint cf...fiberglass is 100x easier to fix.

 

Are you sure it's in the fiberglass and not the clear coat? My CF hood had what I thought were cracks but turned out to be just in the clear. Looked gay either way though.

 

If the cracks in carbon fiber are in the clear coat, can they be fixed? Mine our on the surface also.
