Hey guys,
I just bought a SEIBON VSII CF HOOD. After installing it, I went to close the hood, sure enough I did it slow, then I went to push down to lock it in, and it wouldnt close. I then gave it some force cuz I thought I wasnt giving it enough, and it still wouldnt close. I looked at the fitment to see where it locks, if it goes in and it does. But then I looked at the fitment of the sides. On the left side its at least | | from the fender to the hood and on the other side its almost touching. So I knew the alighnment is off... Do I have to push over the pillars to where I mount the hood to make it fit? But why wouldnt it lock down ? I am kinda sad... that it didnt just fit
. Its to late right now to adjust the pillars, ill do it tommarow but if anyone has any useful info for me I would greatly appriciate it!
If theres any other info that I didnt state lmk. I would have taken pics but I was trying to install the hood fast ... Once I try it again, I will have pics and everything. Thanks again guys for your support!

I'm not sure what the 'pillars' are, but you'll need to play with the 4 bolts that hold the hood up. Sounds like it's just misaligned. Afterwards, you may need to adjust the latch and raise/lower, should be 3 nuts to adjust it.

Wait, which latches, the part the bolts the hood to the car? Or the latch that you use to pop the hood?
You'll need to lower the hold while it is not fully bolted to the car, and then play around with a bit. Once final fitment is good, tighten down the 4 bolts

Do you have an aftermarket strut bar or plenum spacer?

I didnt have it fully bolted on to the part where the hood is attached to the car and it still didnt lock down.

ok, on the latch catch (the piece on the frame of the car when the hood latch clamps in), you need to loosen those 4 bolts and move it up as far as possible. You may also be hitting your plenum, I've heard the VS2 doesn't clear some spacers.

its a skunk2
so the latch's that attach to the hood, i need to adjust it and move it forward?
You can NOT move that latch forward! It can ONLY go UP or DOWN. Loosen the bolts and lift the latch all the way up and tighten the bolts. You might want to consider adding a few more washers to lift your hood up a little bit.
lol seriously man, not hard. just go out and look at your latch, loosen the three bolts (pretty sure they are a 12mm) and pull UP as far as you can on it, and while still holding it tighten the bolts back down.
Do not remove the bolts, just loosen all three. I had a seibon vs2 and did this, closed fine every single time.
