Does anyone know why some sidemarkers are more expensive than others. The clear ons from courtesy parts are about $45 while the smoked are about $25...i believe....and ive seen some smoked side markers for 45 also...

are the smoked sidemarkers form courtesy parts just a layer over the stock sidemarkers or are they really smoked plastic...

if someone could clarify that would be great...

they are actually smoked plastic, not a coating of any sort.

I paid 47$ for my smoked sidemarkers, but they came from japan through japanparts, and I got them months before courtesy sold them, but the 2 are identical.

my guess is this, regular amber sidemarkers are 18$(they are discounted by them from 24$) from courtesy, smoked are 25$, both are OEM equipment but in different countries. whites on the other hand are not OEM, but they are made by nissan, I think that is why they cost more.
