If they sent you 3M double sided tape and you prep the surface and use a
3M adhesion promoter with plenty of the double sided tape and are not consistantly driving 100mph you will be fine.

Factory spoilers are mounted with the use of a template and bolts and nuts.

That double sided tape WILL hold up fine alone, if it's put on right.

Basically the tape is there so it'll rattle less. Use bolts dude.

My spoiler is held on with 3m tape. It's been a year, it still back there. You'll be surprised at how well it sticks on there. Bolts are good, but the tape works just fine.

HMM like stated above prep is the most important part of the install... adhesive promoter and rubbing alchohol to prep the surface and apply plenty of pressure/use blue panters tape to hold it down to the car afterwards and let the glue adhear for at least 2-3 hours before removing pressure (blue tape) 3M is holding on my lip spoiler just fine

The tiny *** OEM spoiler will hold just fine with 3M double-sided tape.
My Blitz spoiler, which is about three times bigger than OEM, holds just fine.

I have a vertex wing on with double stick tape, we did the prep work mentioned previously and had a couple friends take turns leaning on it for about half an hour and its still back there. I road race a lot and i hit 120mph at least 15 times per session and I've done 140 for a couple seconds with it and its still on there so I think as long as you prep it right and give it a good amount of time to stick it should be fine.

edit: I like your spoiler g350

ok, so does anyone know how to remove the OEM spoiler? I already got the bolts off from under the hatch, but there's still some kind of adhesive holding the spoiler down pretty tight. I know fishing line is involved, is there any kind of paint-safe adhesive remover that I can use?

it is a s.o.b. i used a screwdriver and razor blade and f'd up my hatch a bit (luckily not very notcieable). The fishing line i think would be a good idea but to get the left over adhesive off i used goo gone and soaked a rag full of it and let it sit on the adhesive for a while the more you soak the adhesive the easier it is to take off

My oem is on with tape only. Did not like drilling holes. Still on even with speeds of 135mph at the track.
