Default Will seat side airbags still work if resistor bypass installed?

I have side air bags in my seats. I also have a constant air bag blinking light on the dash that the reset procedure only cures for about 1 week before it comes on again. Looks to be a loose connectors somewhere in the SRS system because the diag mode shows absolutley nothing wrong with any of the sensors.

If I install the resistor trick and not plug in the connector, will the seat air bags still work? Is that connector just a sensor or does that connector actually carry the signal to fire the air bags?

After doing some research it appears that the airbag will not work if the resistor mod is in for that seat which the connector is fooled, however the other airbags will deply. Also, if the airbag light is blinking, NONE of the airbags will deploy.

I say this because, 1. Yellow connectors on all car manufacturers = airbag related, and the resistor mod goes on yellow connectors and 2. The manual says not to connect any testing tools to this connector as it can set off the airbag if the battery is still connected.

Bummer, if anyone has an airbag control module off a wrecked 350Z please PM me, the one between the seats.

My dealer found the problem, the P.O. wired in a SIRUS radio, he used the airbag harnass for power and ground, and didn't solder it, just used BUTT connectors, so of course it kept triggering the light, the dealer soldered the wiring and now its perfect, has been for a month.

Tip, never use butt connectors on any car stereo application.
