Default new OEM wing sighting at stealership

was at the stealership today. there's a HUGE leak in my month old Z. literally 1-2 inches of water in my passenger floorboard. ugh.

anyway. as i was killing time, i browsed the Z's.

couple things:

1) the tips on the nismo are freaking huge. i want them.
2) i saw a wing that resembled the g35 wing, but it was on a couple of stock Z's. any idea if the wing is aftermarket or OEM?

thanks fellas. holla back.

Still waiting on the pics. I will be at my local stealership next Friday looking for signs of these new wings/spoliers. I will snap pics if I find em.

Definitely get them to replace the whole carpet and the styrofoam spacer under it. The carpet has wool-fiber pads that will hold water long after they drain it. Both will get moldy after a few days, especially in Houston.

I am assuming that the water leaked in from the wiring/rubber grommet above the passenger foot-well (in the cowl) not being seated properly. Get them to check that or replace it, as well.

Or option 2: is the air conditioning hose came loose to the outside drain tube. Also located on the passengers side just a small hose that takes takes the condensed water from the AC & dump it out of the Z car.

Keep us posted as to what caused the indoor flooding

talked to the repair shop. apparently, when best buy installed my sub, they cut a piece off of my car that sealed out drainage off the base of my hood. so any water that comes dripping down my hood towards my windshield is going straight into my passenger floor board. RI-FRICKIN-DICULOUS!

nissan isn't taking the blame for this, rightfully so, and i've called best buy to come take care of this problem immediately. they sent an adjuster to get an estimate from the stealership repair shop. i'm not awaiting a response from best buy corporate.

i'm really pissed because i bought this Z BRAND NEW, and now she'll never be the same. i have a feeling best buy, at most, will cover the cost of the whole repair, which nissan says is around 3K. is it wrong to assume that i deserve a larger settlement than that being that i'm without my Z for a week and i'm losing the satisfaction of owning a brand new flawless vehicle?

any lawyers in here have any advice? thanks mates.

I would check out your paper work from the installation to see what recourse you have. That really sucks.

I've seen some really bad chop jobs done by Best Buy installers but has got to be the worst.

Man this sucks!! My car is used and i flipped when the tint shop put a gouge in my door panel then tried to say i did it! Thank god for pre-intstalation inspections!!. Made 'em replace it.
But i couldn't imagine having that much water in the car. If they don't fix it right, it'll be the gift that keeps on giving!!

Good luck!! Keep us updated!!

best buy "corporate" is sending an adjuster to estimate the cost of the repair. seems a bit redundant since the stealership has already worked up an invoice.

here's the really bad news:

i'm rolling around in a rental car. CHRYSTLER SEBRING.

go ahead, make fun of me. sigh.

anyway, does anyone know if i should take legal action if best buy decides they are only going to pay for the repair and not for my time and anguish?

Honestly, to them, you are a small fry. I doubt they will do more then just fix it. I say be happy if they do it in a timely manner. If you push for more, it may prolong the process considerably. If they had totaled your car, you'd probably have more leverage.

well, i'm definitely going to talk to the store manager and seek some sort of compensation for all of my trouble. the best buy insurance end can't really give me any more than what the repair costs, but the retail store definitely can. bastards.
