Question Halogen Highs & Lows

The stock halogen lows seem a bit lame. There don't seem to many higher wattage low beam bulbs around. Would a higher wattage lamp melt the plastic lamp mechanism ( don't even want to think about the replacement cost ) ?

Apart from fitting Zenon discharge lows any suggestions ? Anyone tried an "upgrade" ??

Have 100 & 125 Highs but need to check out the wiring/fuses/relays before the big plug in. Same story... anyone tried this already ?

Don't want to cook things..........

I'd just buy the Sylvania (Osram) Cool-Blue bulbs from the local auto parts store. They produce a whiter light, and you won't melt anything. They come in an H7 to fit the stock low beam on the Base model, and should be about $19.99 each. (maybe less)

What "Wattage" are they? the H7 and H1 replacements I have are 100W, which is a jump over the std 55W each.

Have you done a 100W conversion ? What about the fuses / relays / wiring ?

Would be great to know its worked before.
