what is the difference between single and double sided carbon?
also is this going to be lighter than stock or is it going to be like seibon where it ultimately ends up being heavier..
especially considering that you will have to make a few more braces to ensure that the hood does not flor around as much

It will be considerably lighter then Seibon hoods. Mastergrade uses vacuum bagging not wet hand laid. Mastergrade hatch weighs 14-15lbs, the seibon is over 20lbs.

Here's an example of our double sided RX8 trunk:

They are all more then affordable. These are considered better quality then 90% of the JDM manufactures. Even most JDM manufactures don't vacuum bag. These aren't cheap wet hand laid carbon parts, this is high grade stuff.

I believe the double layer is lighter. The single layer is heavier due to the usage of fiberglass along with the carbon.
