nice find.
i dont see why people call it rice because they want to pay for overpriced aluminum which is coming from the same exact aluminum cutting shop.
(unless your a weirdo and want to list what brand mesh you used in your magazine feature.... lol)

if you didn't prep the grille, the black paint will come off.

Are you serious? Have you purchased the custom automesh?? it's the same thing except they pre-cut it for whatever grill or hood you have.

I'll call it rice because that's what it will look like in a short amount of time when it starts to sag and lose shape. In fact, in that before/after shot it looks like it already is. It's cheap, I'll give it that, but this is just a fair warning to anyone wanting to use that stuff.

The definition of rice is going way over-board or to the extreme beyond comprehension. That grille to me looks pretty damn good!

What kind of aftermarket clip did you use to secure this in your bumper?

I wasnt trying to "CHEAP" or "RICE" out when I found this alternative, I just thought I would post it for the sake of the guys who are actually considering purchasing the exact same stuff from Custom Auto Mesh for a much higher price. As for the quality of this stuff, it's not full plastic , it's actually rubberized plastic, so it's really solid and I doubt it would flake out and break apart like some of you guys are saying. And even if it did fall apart in a short time I would at least feel better that I only paid $5 for it as opposed to $50.

sintaxeror I'll get the SKU # on my next visit to Home Depot, but it might be different for you guys since I'm up here in Canada. But for now you can go to the gutter aisle and it should be there, if not then try a different HD, some have it some dont

myehrick09 I didn't use this mesh with my front bumper, sit already came with metal mesh fitted on, I just used it on my grille and my hood. The chicken wire that my gialla grille came with was already rock chipped and faded after only a month of being painted, since I put this on I don't think I'll be having the same problem.

I think 6 inches is the only size I'm not sure since I didn't look for anything else. The 6 inches is enough to fit pretty much any of the G35 bumpers hoods and grilles though, I don't know all the 350Z body kits but I think it should still be enough for most of them. Here's some more pictures I took a minute ago for a closer look.
