Default Roadster Convert. Trunk Rubbing

I am new to the forum and in searching could not find a posting with a similar problem. I have a 05' touring roadster conv. My trunk is rubbing on the convertible lid panel occasionally and has caused a chip in the paint. Ive had the dealership i purchased it from repair the chip twice now but as soon as i open the trunk over the course of a week or so the touch up chips off too. Is there an adjustment for the trunk lid or is there another problem? Thanks

You can slightly adjust both the lid and the trunk. I would try the trunk first, as it is slightly easier to align.

Is there an easy way to explain adjusting the alignment?

Take a look at how the trunk is attached. Loosen those bolts a little bit, and slide the trunk upward (ie, away from the front of the car). Try bolting back down and see if that works. Otherwise, look at the lid, there will be like 6 bolts holding it to an arm. Loosen those and slightly adjust upward (This time it will be a net effect of pulling away from the trunk or rear). Bolt back together.
