Default chrome grill idea/comments

i have been thinking that a replacement to using door molding would be to remove the grill and paint it. you could use a primer and then a chrome paint. I've used the chrome paint before on metal with good results. I wasn't sure why we couldn't paint the plastic grill. Any comments?

I used the door sills on the grill, and it really nice. But they start falling apart as it's getting hotter , so I have to take them out. I was thinking to paint the grills with chrom paint, but not sure if the paint can stick on plastic, and fade.

I agree!!
It rained all week and my chrome strips are falling off again. I'm on my second box now. There has to be a better way to make them stay on.

Your right bark, I think it looks great.

I just don't like worrying about whether something will be falling off my car when I start to leave the mall or something. It looks pretty crappy to have a $6 piece of molding falling off of your 30k car!

Default Try hot glue

Mine have stayed on since last October. Try hot glue on the under side at the corners and about every 6 - 8". The hot glue will not show and this should fix the grill strips. Good luck.
