don't worry man, i have the large tip legalis R and the diffuser and it looks good.
i did have to cut about 2" away right around the main pipe as it was rubbing.
Thanks for the encouragement and the heads-up. Could you post a few pics of yours?
EDIT: Moot point. I just ordered an Invidia Gemini true-dual. I may test fit the diffuser with the Fujitsubo, but ultimately will be running it with the Invidia. I'm pretty sure I will need to trim the front of the diffuser in two spots to clear the pipes leading up to the muffler, but that's OK - out of sight, out of mind.
Invidia Gemini will fit with modification. The driver side rear pipe (leading up to the muffler) interferes with the front lip of the diffuser, but you don't have to cut away very much to get clearance.
^ Nope, sorry. No first-hand experience. Purely speculating, I will guess that you would have to cut out two rectangular notches in the front "lip" of the diffuser (under the car) to allow clearance for the diagonally-oriented rear mufflers or the pipes leading up to them in the TDX2 system. I believe somewhere on this thread there was someone running the Injen true-dual system which has a similar layout to the MD TDX2, and they had to make two cutouts for clearance.
It's not a big deal IMO, just start with small cuts and keep enlarging until you have clearance. Structurally I do not think you will really compromise the integrity of the diffuser.
I'm curious about the functionality of this diffuser when paired with a non OE styled exhaust i.e., an exhaust like the Motordyne TDX, or HKS. The stock (OE) exhaust canister at the rear was, to my knowledge, designed as a diffuser to efficiently move air from underneath the car. When replaced with an exhaust design resembling the TDX or HKS systems the empty space that was once filled by the large stock canister now acts like a pocket that traps air creating a parachute-like effect. Any thoughts on this or whether this diffuser aids in remedying this potential issue for those concerned?
Might try one out soon, my friend has one I can buy if I want it. Now to see if it fits over the Motordyne shockwave V1 and Gamma. Also how hard it will be to swap exhaust at the track.
You'd be looking for the fitment of an Agency Power exhaust since they share the exact same dimensions. Bad news, it doesn't fit.
That's what I meant , sorry . I mean I fig it wouldn't fit with out modification but my question is , how butchered will it be in the end if I say did try to fit it ?
Anyone scrape more with this thing on? Rear of course
I have not yet. Old pic showing my ride height (and diffuser installed) for reference. Tires are 245/35/19 f and 275/35/19 rear, with slightly less than 1 "finger" gap tire to fender front and rear:
