On the driver side, near the door by your left foot, the floor has come up about an 3/4" to make this like ridge from the seat all the way down to almost the clutch. Its almost like the floor buckled.

At first you would think the carpet just expanded or something and created a ripple, but there is definately something solid under the carpet.

I mentioned it to the dealer today when I dropped it off for 30k milage service, but I wanted to see if anyone had heard of this.

 

did this happen just after someone lifted your car? maybe it's from a car lift that was misplaced and bent up your floor panels. Best way to see is get under the car and take a look at it.

 

same thing here. damn dealer did it when liftng the front of my car. of course they fixed it but they are a lot more careful now (service manager nearly fired them for doing it). that is what happens when you do not use the proper jack point for the front.

 

Just got it back from the dealer. They said this is normal and that is a triangle shaped pad thing under the carpet. They said they looked at other Z's on the lot and confirmed this.

However, I really dont remember this being there before because it distinctly hurts my left foot because of the angle the floor now slopes.

After work I am going to get under the car and check it out.

 

i would have them show me this "triangle pad" they claim. plus if it is bad like mine was, you will see a dent under the car at that spot.

I looked under the car and there is definately some indentions/damage right under the seat area. Maybe 1-2 inches indented. I dont know how that would be caused (lift?) and if it would be big enough to do what I am talking about.

I am pissed the dealer tells me that its a triangle shaped pad that all Zs have. Retarded.

 

dealers love you when you buy a car but treat you like sheit afterwards

 

yeah...i would have them show me this on other Zs on the lot

 

I know for a fact that it wasnt there when I bought it... cause it totally jacks with my foot because of the angle it slopes it hurts my ankle and bridge of my foot. Maybe I will sue for medical bills or something, cha

I am going in a couple days and will have them pull up the carpet to show me what this mysterious pad looks like.
