Default Blacked out/Halo'ed my 07 headlight today! **PICS**

Ok before anyone says anything, i left the L.E.D Trim piece chrome to keep an even contrast to the very few spots i left gray on the lens bezel and also to blend with the mesh on my Seibon hood (silver mesh) but anyways i want to ask, (because i have to take the headlight back apart to install Blue L.E.D's in the projector) if i should paint the chrome piece black. I also didnt want to paint it bacause the L.E.D's get better reflection at night with the chrome, and also to be a little different lol

check'em out! ****NEW PICTURE UPDATE****

Paint that chrome piece for sure! That's a unique look as far as the projector goes and it looks like you did a good paint job. Can I ask why you chose not to paint the rest of shroud black? Obviously not the halo part, but the silver sides? Looks good though! Props man!

lol its funny you should ask about painting the rest of the shroud because my intensions were to do so, BUT i couldnt get the tape small enough cover over the clear channels on the side of the bazel: AKA the parts of the bezels that are clear to allow light to shine through when the lights are on. so i kinda cheated and went the easy way out and just masked the whole sides off. it actually worked out better because it still gives the bezel a star shape like quality about it during the day...

if you're talking about htat chrome piece on the top of the headlight, paint it please. imo the projector portion is already abit too busy. Looks different and pretty good though!

your right, the bezel itself is busy enough so the black led trim piece will settle it down a bit, im also investigating different pin-stripe sizes to use to mask off the clear channels on the projector bezel so that i can spray paint the rest of the gray on the bezel piece. so in the next week or so the blackout might look a little better then it is right now because anyone who know how effin hard it is to take these lights apart, im going to make sure i make the pain worth while...

Yes this is very true, It makes the l.e.d's very functional in a way of the brightness but then again they still light up bright even if everything around it is black so im more then likly going to consider spraying the piece black now that a lot of people have me convienced.

I painted mine last winter and am taking them apart for clear lens + halo install this week. I painted my LED trim to match the rest (dark smoke gray). Chrome does make some difference in LED visibility but their job is to function as running lights anyway, so combined with your halo mod, you definitely don't need more side visibility.
