Does anyone else notice that fuel door color doesn't quite match the quarter panel. It seems to be a couple of shades off or a variance off. I thought it was just on my car, but i noticed it on a couple of other 350z's in a parking lots.

 

Yeah cause the body and the fuel door aren't made of the same material.

How do you figure the two are different materials? They are both mild strengh steel (mss). If it was the reason of different materials, then my bumpers wouldn't match the fenders and quarters and they do.

 

fuel door is plastic.

 

I don't know what color your Z is but look at your rear bumper in bright sunlight.. it is slightly different in color.
