I'm glad that it worked for the above poster but it didn't for me. Based upon the above I rebadged my car today and the "Z" from the 350z does not cover the holes. No worries as I will just order one of the larger ones!

I thought the same way as you back when I owned my first Z, an 88z31. I own two now and recently sold my unfinished and unstarted project cough 85 turbo. I am sure you know why Datsun could not bring the name Fairlady over to America back when everyone in this country was about their muscle cars and ego, but times have changed and that era is over. I think repping the Z’s original name is perfectly fine if you understand the meaning behind it all. I think it is kinda classy. Just don’t be one of those riced out tools that puts on eyelids and crazy spoilers.

I just did mine. Before I started though, I wanted to know what the holes behind the rear badge looked like, but couldn't find any pictures. So here it is.

@jblz

Thanks for the pic. Could you measure horizontally, from the outside of one hole to the next?

Someone on here said the Z from the 350Z trunk badge covered the holes but I've also seen posts that said it did NOT cover them.

Also, what year Z do you have? Maybe the holes are spaced differently on the various model years.

yeah, the distance between the holes in 1 1/4" Im not sure about the Big Z badge. Initially, that was the one I wanted, but I heard the same thing you did, so I just never did it. I put the Tommy Kaira badge on, so I can't tell you for sure if the Z badge will cover the holes. Looking at the back of the OEM Badge, I would say not. I put a pic below. The pegs are located directly behind the top left corner of the first "S" and the top left corner of the "A." Maybe that helps.

...and I have an 07. I think the holes are the same on all Z's except for the convertibles. For whatever reason, they don't have the holes.

Default 08 Z....debadging and spoiler.

Hey guys, just coming over from a G35 coupe. Picked up my 08 Z today....So far so good, but I do not like the front and aft Nissan badges. The aft one doesn't seem too much of a hassle to remove, however the front one will be a problem as its actually molded into the plastic....so removing it may not be difficult however there will be a empty Nissan symbol molding hole where the badge used to be...anyone have any ideas on how to fill the spot?

I installed a nice wing on my G35 coupe, came out nice...seems most of the ones I see for the Z are really gaudy and big...Im looking for one between a lip and something you see on a fighter jet.

Nice forum, btw.

Several members have shaved the front bumper. Take a look at the exterior forum.

have you thought about painting the front emblem? I did, it looks way better

note that it's a flat color and the car's paint is a gloss, but it still looks better than the chrome and the subtle contrast looks good to me. Just another option you may want to do.

There are also an obscene number of holes for the spoiler.
These all need plugs welded. I had my hatch and front shaved
Completely for awhile now. Prefer this in general.

What color is your car?Sometimes what you choose as a mod for the front/rear emblem
will hinge on this.
I installed a combo CF/brushed Z on the front. It looks great on my silverstone color.
As others have mentioned, there are 2 indentions on the front for the OEM emblem. It is easy to remove with some heat, fishing line and adhesive remover/alcohol to prep for the new emblem.Yes,the rear emblem has 2 holes in the deck.A replacement emblem(I install a brushed Z in place of the chrome Nissan burger. The brushed look goes well with the other hardware,350z&door handles. The Zstore and Courtesy sell a pretty good selection of emblems. Some, like the front CF unit ia a bit pricey.

Hey fellas, thanks for all the responses, some good ideas. The spoiler is cool, not extreme nor bulky...I loved the wing that I put on my G35, but the perfect one hasn't hit me, but yours is pretty close Bober'Z, where did you get it? PBN, I was thinking along those line for the subdued, my Z is silver and even if you removed it the impression would be there...I would be ok with the Z logo as opposed to the Nissan, on front and rear. I would like to remove the rear one as its smooth, but you guys say there are two holes there...not trying to get into a cost thing at this point.

JC, it is silver, so the brushed al-loo-mineum would be pretty nice I think. I will check out the stores you mentioned.....

Thanks again Z brudders.
