Nice great idea with going to carpet store. Can you cut the carpet with like a razor blade or scissors and to keep it clean around the edges did you use anything like glue?

If you get one from a carpet store I would suggest you have them stitch the edges. otherwise it will look like $hit in no time. Just my 2c

try picking up a set of 06+ door panels, and swap out the stock inserts for red inserts. itll match nicely with the seats.

but imo, red carpeting is a bit overkill.

Well I was thinking about this chore it might be to do the carpet with very little money.. unless Home Depot has bright red carpet... So I might just wrap my Zenclosure in red carpet from Jo-anne's or Michaels for now.

tonester1011, can you post pics of your interior? after you cut plain carpet what did you do to the ends?

I'd like custom interior but its so freakin expensive! 2 decent bucket seats are going to run about $2.5k with sliders & etc.

Whats special about 06 door pannels? i've never payed attention to them. Is it a direct swap into the 05's or is there modifications needed?

i'll get some pics this week. i was going to have the edges of the carpet bound by the guy at the carpet store but he said it would be a b!tch to do and be very expensive so i just left the edges cut...it looks just as good because i cut the mat to the exact size and the edges fit tight into the corners...i also have a set of 06 door panels going into my car that i am doing in cf...and i am wrapping the insert in them with blue suede to match my seats.
