Why should it be heresy? You're having fun with your car, and are able to go farther afield than the normal "day trip."

I've gotten nothing but thumbs-up from people who have passed me on the interstates while I'm hauling my race tires on my little tire trailer. That includes drivers of Porsches and Corvettes. In fact, they seem to go out of their way to let me know that they approve of my using the car for fun and not just for commuting back-and-forth to work.

Brought home a '73 VW Karmann Ghia the other night.

Estimated weight between 1600-1700lbs, tongue weight was virtually nothing as the car being towed carries its own weight. Its a bit heavy for this configuration, but I was gentle.

It towed just fine, no problems, the Z had power to spare, and plenty of brakes. No problems.
