Default Leather around the shift.

I am wanting to change the leather around the shift **** to a different color, other than the tan leather. I don't know about you guys but it doesn't look right in my black on black car. It's an 03 I am still working on it. Anyone know where I can buy a new kit for it? And how to install it? any help would be appreciated.

i got mine from leatherseats.com for $50. you will want to pop up the plastic shifter trim which is done by simply lifting up on it. you will see a squared notch on the actual shifter. you will hold this with pliers or vice grips. wrap some thick rubber or similar material around the shift **** so the other set of pliers you use will not damage the ****. now, hold the pliers on the shifter rod still as you turn the pliers on the **** to break loose. make sure you only turn the **** and not the shaft of the shifter or tranny damage will occur. once the **** is off slide the boot/trim piece off and turn upside down. you will see screws you need to remove to get old boot off. reverse for install

if you go on amazon they have generic boots for a little less. i got mine from leatherseats.com because i got new leather for my seats and wanted the boot to match and they custom make everything to fit as good or better than factory. let me know if you run into issues or have questions!

These guys will custom-make anything yu want. You can choose the leather type, color, stitching, etc. I got black suede for my '08, both the shifter and handbrake, for ~$30 shipped. Arrived from the UK to FL in about 10 days:
