Behind the rear shock mount in this pic.

I am proof of this, otherwise I would probably be walking or in jail.

i guess youboth missed the mythbusters epidsode where they busted this and prove them to not work

http://mythbustersresults.com/episode87

REVISITED: A speed camera can be beaten by a magnified cover. (From episode 72)

re-busted

The magnified cover failed to obscure the license plate.

(After the original episode viewers complained that the speed camera was mounted too low at 5 feet instead of 10 feet. For this episode the camera was mounted at 10 feet.)

REVISITED: A speed camera can be beaten by a reflective cover.

re-busted

The reflective cover failed to obscure the license plate.

REVISITED: A speed camera can be beaten by commercial spray.

re-busted

The commercial spray failed to obscure the license plate.

Pulled over twice, not for a license plate cover, but a license plate frame. Said I cant have anything that hinders the sight of the frame. They both also wanted to search my car...wtf? I declined, not because I have something to hide, but I had the feeling the frame was a good reason for them to pull me over to search the car.

AFAIK, frame is only illegal if it is blocking the state's name or something similarly important (e.g. tabs). But I am sure the law varies by state.
