Default those of you with mastergrade A-pillars, quick question

how did you get the weatherstripping off the stock A-pillars? mine is glued on pretty intensely and i sorta tore it already!

cant wait to get these pillars in, they look awesome. Thanks Jim!

obviously. here is the instructions from the service manual

FRONT PILLAR FINISHER
Removal
1. Remove lock pillar finisher.
2. Remove clip and double-faced adhesive tapes of body side weatherstrip.
3. Remove body side weatherstrip.
4. Remove screw of retainer body side weatherstrip.
5. Remove screw and clip of front pillar finisher.
6. Remove front pillar finisher.

i wonder if i can order news ones if the manual talks about removing them? last time i checked (when the car got painted) the dealer told me you could not, however if you can buy new ones then that is the way i would go

You have to order the whole pillar assembly..it's like $350+.

Mastergrade was making a DIY for the roof and pillars. I'll see if they are done yet.

You cannot order the weather stripping separately. I tried for nearly 2 weeks and finally gave up.

You could possibly heat them up and pull slowly.

I removed mine and reused the weather stripping, reapplying new double sided tape is a little annoying but I haven't had any problems since installing the MG pillars.

did you have success with any particular method of removal or did you just pull it off? I was figuring some warmth and some kinda of scraping tool to get under it
